SEC 01 / TRAILS / EXPLORE

The Trails

Legend Hollow's trails are how we all go deeper — into the forests, up and down the mountain’s slopes, along its ridges, through creeks and alongside caves. Hikers, bikers, riders, foragers, wanderers, and competitors all find their line here, across 20 miles of trails cut over a century, for every ability and any kind of adventure.

A walk in the woods can lead to a place of wonder.

The Meadows

High on the mountain, Legend Hollow's meadows open to something truly rare — panoramic hundred-mile views, with breathtaking sunsets on one horizon and stunning sunrises on the other. People gather here, linger, and overnight under the star-filled sky. Our new Meadow Pavilion will bring even more ways to commune high on the mountain.

Stone

The stones are the bones of the earth. The hollow's stones .

Some places reveal themselves slowly. The stones and caves invite you to slow down, look closer, and sit with the quiet.

Legend Hollow sits deep in the southern Appalachians — one of the most biodiverse regions on earth. Ancient geology touched and marked by millennia of indigenous peoples, with yet-untouched forest floors, native flora and fauna, and a landscape largely undisturbed by time. Here, nature isn't a backdrop. It's the whole point.

SEC 04 / TEAM / EXPLORE

Team

Legend Hollow is a vision and manifestation of people coming together as stewards with future generations in mind. The Hollow is guided by a covenant of living relationship with the land that sustains us - built around inclusivity, community, healthy ecosystems, and the pursuit of natural and self-discovery.

David (Sly) Cuzbin is our beloved naturalist, a wood wizard, a musician, a foodie, a father and he intimately knows theses woods, hollers, creeks, critters, trails and foragable foods better than any.

.

Scot Hollonbeck is our optomistic dreamer, a friend to many who finds solace, meaning and teachings from the animate interconnected life that blesses all who seek it. As a past Olympian, he gets a kick out of forest fitness these days.

SEC 05/ PAST EVENTS / EXPLORE

Legend Hollow has patiently and quietly become a place where groups gather for all the best reasons — weddings, family reunions, leadership retreats, hiking and biking events, and celebrations tied to the rhythms of nature itself: solstices, equinoxes, full moons, and more. Naturally private, remote, and truly unlike anywhere else.
